Full hookup campgrounds in tennessee, campground amenities
The site drained well which was a plus as we had heavy rain. Enjoy the great outdoors and yet stay just minutes from the attractions, restaurants, shops and grocery stores of Cherokee. It's a nice park although kind of pricey and quite ways out from the entertainment of the area if that's what your're there for.
All of our campsites have picnic tables and campfire rings. I bought a camper to avoid use of public facilities but had no choice this week. On-Site Gas and Propane Available! The remainder of the utilities worked well.
No park Wifi available. We drove in to Dollywood about 45 min one day, and drove to the Food City about 10 miles up the road and took the Trolley into Gatlinburg another day.
The park has a beautiful stream at the back of the property, a nice playground for kids, and a pool that wasn't open yet. Don't want to rough it? Verizon and Sprint had adequate service. Whether you need a camping cabin, pop-up or tent site or have an RV, you'll find a campground that fits your style of camping.
The 50 amp service was faulty when we arrived but the management had the entire outlet replaced within 15 minutes. The cell signal was not great - we had no T-Mobile signal and barely had Verizon signal. While this RV park advertises being across the street from the Great Smoky National Park, you must travel about 15 minutes for a major entrance.
Some sites have cable. We have free cable TV, 30 or 50 amp service, and paved patios. We have a heated pool, game room, Yogi Theater, themed weekends, and activities. Outdoor recreational opportunities are aplenty.
Tubes are available for rent through our Welcome Center. Come camp with us and have a fantastic time you will always remember.
The campground borders the Little River, which flows out of the National Park. The large site we had was mostly level and overlooked a fast-moving creek. Cable service was good. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Association stocks the river from our 1, feet of river frontage every two weeks during the summer.
The entire week we had little to no water pressure rendering us unable to use the bathroom facilities in our camper.
The management was especially helpful and friendly. Our campgrounds in the Smoky Mountains are one hour west of Asheville, just three hours from Atlanta and Charlotte, and two hours from Greenville, Knoxville and Chattanooga. Additional amenities include a laundry, swimming pool, two very clean bathhouses, a modern playground for the little ones, a covered pavilion equipped with a large barbecue pit, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, wireless internet, bicycle rentals and an arcade.
By checking your desired lodging amenities, you can narrow the list to match your personal preferences. For a small town, Cherokee has a large variety of campgrounds to choose from. In our specialty accommodations, you may not even feel like you're roughing it at all!
The river is excellent for swimming or tubing and is well known for great trout fishing. Our friends' kids enjoyed a craft time on Saturday morning in the game room.
